Guidelines when making your Booking
Choice of Courses and Tee-Times
It is important that all golfers hold the necessary Handicap Certificate
when choosing the course to play.
Some courses start players during high season on the 1st and 10th tees and
this indicates that there are daily Tee-Times only in the morning up to
10.00 a.m. and in the afternoon after 12.00 p.m.
Start times on the day of arrival, or departure, are problematic due to
possible delays or changes in flight times. If a golfer books golf on these
days it is entirely at that player's own risk and cost.
The courses usually group-up to 4-balls and therefore it is possible that
you may play with players not in your own party. (No golfer will be allowed
to play alone and 5 players may be booked as a 3-ball and a 2-ball). We only
confirm the start time for the first party of a group and the other members
of the party will start at consecutive times.
Juniors with Handicaps and proof of their age (Passport), are usually
allowed reduced rate options on all courses.
Confirming Tee-Times
As soon as the Golf Courses have confirmed the availability of the
start times the client will be informed
After being allocated Tee-Times there is a limited period in which they
must be confirmed to each Golf Course. Below are the general rules for the
clients confirmation and payment that the indicated Tee-Times are
acceptable.
1) Tee-Times booked 12 weeks or more in advance - Within 7 days from
confirmation of availability
2) Tee-Times booked 5 to 12 weeks in advance - Within 3 days from
confirmation of availability
3) Tee-Times received less than 5 weeks in advance - Within 1 day from
confirmation of availability
The San Lorenzo Course in Vale do Lobo normally only accept a booking the
day before playing.
Cancel or Changes
A player may change golf bookings subject to availability under the
following conditions.
Any change of a confirmed booking before arrival will involve a further
minimum charge of 10.00.
CANCELLATIONS
1) Cancellations have to be notified 45 days prior to arrival - when
observed a full refund less a charge of 20.00 will be made to cover the
extra administration.
2) Cancellations of less than 45 days - fees will only be refunded at the
discretion of the chosen Golf Course. The Agency does not hold itself liable
for any additional costs or inconvenience but will endeavour to enquire
regarding each individual case.
3) In the case of inclement weather causing temporary closure of a course,
the client must have their voucher stamped accordingly by the Course
Reception and alternative arrangements will be made by the Agency. (i.e.
additional tee-time, compensation, green fee voucher for a future playing
date)
4) When playing any course and its condition makes it unplayable, the client
must have their voucher stamped accordingly by the Course Reception. After
being notified by the player the Agency will then attempt to seek
compensation on behalf of the players.
Golf Course Dress Code
Most courses maintain a sensible dress code and reserve the right to refuse
to allow inappropriately dressed golfers to play the course. Golf shoes are
required when playing on all 18-hole courses and players are required to use
soft spikes. Tailored shorts and collared shirts are the normal
wear in the spring, summer and autumn. Long socks are not required.
Important - Golf Course Rules
All Courses reserve the right to refuse players and no refunds will be made
by Golf Courses or by our Agency for the following logical reasons:
1) No shows"
2) - A player failing to show upon request a Handicap Certificate
3) A golfer being unacceptably dressed
4) The golfer considered to be unfit to play
5) A golfer requested to leave the course by the management of the
Golf Course for improper behaviour or any other reason.
Players are requested to observe all Course requests on "slow play"
Insurance
All insurance matters relating to travel, possessions, playing golf, health,
or other related subjects, are at the responsibility of each player.
